Directions

Read the following questions. Choose the right answer.

There is only ONE correct answer to each question.

If f(x) = 3x² − 6x + 2 is an antiderivative of the function g(x), then g(x) is:

  1. 6x − 6
  2. x³ − 3x² + 2x
  3. 3x − 6
  4. x³ − 3x² + 2x + c
Show answer

Correct answer: A. 6x − 6

Why

If f is an antiderivative of g, then g = f'. Differentiating f(x) = 3x²−6x+2 gives g(x) = 6x−6.
